n-Link's management and operations of the US Army Corps of Engineers Enterprise
Infrastructure Services (CEEIS) Network Operations and Security Center was recognized by
the CEEIS Network/Security Program Manager with this glowing past performance quote: "Contractor personnel provided were exceptional in their ability to perform a highly complex mission, and take on work with minimal Government guidance. There were numerous examples of emergency support either in day-to-day needs to send staff to remote areas, including foreign countries and in response to natural disaster operations. Contractor ensured that staff was highly skilled. Most Corps sites depended on the technical skills of this team even to resolve problems local to the site. This contracted function required significant gathering of user requirements and working with users in developing enterprise-wide configurations in all areas. In many cases, the contracts involved headed up the teams to develop solutions that were briefed to management. n-Link proposing cost effective methods was a significant portion of the overall work that was performed in a manner such that many of the solutions and processes developed are still in use today. n-Link performed in an exceptional manner in that the ability to perform resolution of issues without government involvement was needed due to the sheer complexity and scope of the mission. During the contract performance, government contract managers received weekly status reports of functions performed by each of the various teams along with project status reports for major initiatives. This assisted greatly in tracking overall mission and project status. During the contract performance period, the contractor provided input on a very large number of cost reduction proposal and proposal to provide for a more effective and efficient infrastructure or customer support. This helped to either reduce overall program costs or hold program cost flat while providing added services to the Corps customer base. Those involved in the contract performance were all very dedicated to the Corps' IT mission, its customer base and even the overall mission of the Corps. This resulted in focused customer support and also resulted in better proposed solutions that met the Corps' overall mission. During the contract performance period, there were times of significant change both in missions, staffing needs and scope. The contractor was able to react in a reasonable manner to these Government induced changes. The contractor exceeded in this area in that they worked not only with the 34,000 internal Corps customers located at over 2,000 remote sites but also worked with the general public, state/local/federal agencies, foreign entities and other DoD staff in all areas of the contract. Much of the high level contract support involved working with all Corps sites, the Corps HQ and Army entities to develop overall requirements for the enterprise. The contractor's work in these areas resulted in designs and processes that are still in use to day both across the Corps and even outside the Corps. In all contract performance areas, the customer's requirement were satisfied either at the helpdesk or technician level. In cases where additional assistance was needed, the contractor worked well across the various team and with Government staff to resolve more difficult customer issues." |
