The Employee Annual Meeting (TEAM) Contests / Awards
Every year, during Martin Luther King Weekend, n-Link
puts on a 2-3 day event for its employee-owners. It is a way for us to connect with one another,
honor the hard work of our employee-owners in a way that is fun, yet educational,
while also spending a half day on the company's goals and objectives, five year plan, results
for the prior year, and initiatives for the upcoming year. We also give out everyone's
Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) statements, which shows the value of the stock for
the prior year. 14kt gold n-Link logo pins are given to new employee-owners.
We also have contests between project sites such as doing a "tradeshow" where each project
site is their own "company" and they use their resumes and project descriptions to give a
pitch to all other employee-owners as to what value they bring to grow their company.
These valuable updates to their resumes and project descriptions are then used for the company's
business development team throughout the year. The employee-owners vote as to which
team presented, both in their briefing and in their tradeshow materials, the most compelling story.
The winning team receives a large trophy with an archer at the top symbolizing how well they "targeted"
their message. In addition, $2500 n-Link "Big Bucks Bank" checks goes with the trophy to
apply for their team's activities throughout the year such as going to a baseball game or
dinner. One winning team donated their "Big Bucks" check amount to the Red Cross when
Hurricane Katrina hit and so much devastation happened to so many people.
